Kākahu Pepi Cape - Pink
Specifications: 320 x 320mm (mm)
A stunning piece of Aotearoa art that makes a wonderful christening cloak. Hand-made in New Zealand using beautiful feathers. This is the same as a full-size modern Kākahu, just scaled down. It is fully lined and the feathers wrap around to the inside.
Meaning of the taniko band:
The Poutama (step-like pattern) has both religious and educational meanings. The steps symbolize levels of attainment and advancement. This pattern represents the staircase that Tāne-nui-a-Rangi climbed to heaven to get the three baskets of knowledge for the Māori people.
In some cases, especially during holiday seasons and store promotions, it may take 1 - 2 weeks to create your order so please account for this when purchasing.
